The National Flag-rising Ceremony for School Opening Day

September 9 was the first school day of academic year 2019-2020. At 7:15 in the morning, all students of Telfort Business Institute held a solemn flag-raising ceremony on the flower square in SIT. Dean Shuhui Chen and the staff of Student Affairs Department and Administration Department attended the ceremony.

When the ceremony began, the flag-bearers of SIT strode at a uniform pace to the flag-raising point. All teachers and students stood straight and saluted with eyes. When the familiar and exciting ‘March of the Volunteers’ sounded, the teachers and students sang the national anthem loudly. The bright five-star red flag fluttered in the wind above the square, proclaiming the beginning of the new school year.

After the flag-raising ceremony, the students expressed their excitement, this is a patriotic education class full of meaning on the first day of school. Patriotism is a sincere love for the motherland, and it is a deep feeling that can't be left behind. Contemporary college students should internalize the patriotism into the heart and externalize it into the action. March forward bravely, overcome the difficulties, inherit traditions while creating the future, bear in mind the great mission and become the builder of a new generation of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
