2019 Telfort School Opening Ceremony was Held

On September 9, 2019, the year 2019 Opening Ceremony of Telfort Business Institute was held in auditorium 116 of Library Building. Shuhui Chen, Director of the International Education Center of SIT and President of Telfort Business Institute, Bai Yang, Chairman of Telfort Education Group and Vice President of Telfort Business Institute, Ron, Academic Director of Telfort Education Group, Stephen, Education Director of Telfort Business Institute, and all Chinese and foreign teachers attended the ceremony.

Education Director Stephen announced the ‘2018-2019 Academic Year Scholarship Winners’ on behalf of the College and issued the honor certificates. Then, outstanding students Yanting Zhu (Flora) and Yining Cheng (Britney) gave short speeches on winning the scholarship. The freshman representative, Yuhong Li (Valentina), also gave a short speech to express the joy of coming to Telfort and her determination to study hard.

Education Director Stephen and Academic Director Ron have delivered speeches entitled ‘Active and Negative Learning Attitudes’ and ‘The Transformation of Learning Mode from High School to University’ to encourage the students to quickly adapt to the new environment, actively learn and explore, and try to solve problems independently.

Mr. Bai Yang, Chairman of Telfort Education Group and Vice President of Telfort Business Institute, told the freshmen about his study experience at Harvard University in the United States. He encouraged the students to plan for the future as soon as they entered Telfort, laying a good foundation for further study during the next three years. At the end of his speech he wished the new students a happy time in Telfort and realize their dreams.

Ms. Shuhui Chen, President of Telfort, outlined the history and achievements of Telfort in the past 20 years to the freshmen and requested the students to: First, they should have dreams and ambitions. They should have a strong sense of patriotism and understand that they shoulder the mission of revitalizing China. Second, students should have good moral character and behavior. Learn to respect and properly treat others, strive to create a perfect personality and be a highly cultivated person. Third, work hard and be persistent. Master well English language skills and professional knowledge to become the pillars of China.

The opening ceremony ended successfully with the warm applause of the teachers and students. Later, the expert police officers of the Cultural Security Bureau of the Shanghai Police Station conducted a ‘Student Safety Education’ for the freshmen.
