Telfort and U.S. Pacific Lutheran University Signed ‘3+1+0.9’ MBA Program to Open a New Channel for Employment Immigration in the United States

In July 2019, Telfort and the U.S. Pacific Lutheran University officially signed the ‘3+1+0.9’ MBA Program.


This program lays a high-quality, safe, economical and fast way for Telfort students to complete undergraduate and postgraduate education abroad, and also provides opportunities for employment and immigration in the United States.


Highlight 1: Business School of Pacific Lutheran University has won the world's top AACSB certification!


Founded in 1890, Pacific Lutheran University is a private comprehensive university known for its business, education, and nursing departments. It is also the top 4% of research universities in the United States. According to the <U.S. News & World Report>, it is the only school that ranks among the top 15 universities in the West each year and is considered as a quality university in Washington State in the western United States.


The Business School of Pacific Lutheran University has been named one of the top business schools in the United States by The Princeton Review and is the premier AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) certified business school. AACSB certification represents the business school's achievement of the highest standards in the world, with less than 5% of the more than 13,000 business schools worldwide receiving this award. Business Administration for undergraduates have five directions: Finance, Management and Human Resources, Marketing, Accounting, and Non-profit Organization Leadership. Students in the  Accounting major will receive a professional certification. Furthermore, in addition to international funding, Pacific Lutheran University will set aside approximately $75,000 annually to reward outstanding Chinese students.


Highlight 2: Short academic system, all MBA courses can be completed in just 9 months!


From September 2019, ‘3+1’ program students from business majors study at the U.S. Pacific Lutheran University can apply for MBA courses after completing the undergraduate study and passing all the exams. The MBA courses can be completed in just 9 months, which is one-third shorter than similar courses in other universities, helping students to complete their studies as soon as possible before employment. Students who successfully pass all the exams will receive a Master's degree in Business Administration from PLU, and it is accredited by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The MBA program includes:

All of the above master's courses are taught by senior professors and include 10 days of  practice activities out of the U.S.. The courses focus on training students to become pragmatic, compound and applied high-level management talents with an international perspective.


Highlight 3: The opportunities of internship, employment, and immigration in the U.S.!


After receiving a bachelor's or master's degree of Pacific Lutheran University, there will be an opportunity of 12 months of professional internship in the United States. Students must apply for OPT (Optional Practice Training) with the F1 Student Visa and PLU's degree certificate within 90 days of graduation to obtain the EAD card (Employment Authorization Document) issued by the USCIS. With the EAD card, students can legally look for jobs related to their major at any company in the United States. During the internship, students who successfully find a suitable workplace and sign a formal employment contract can change their F1 student visa to H1B (Specialty Occupations/Temporary Worker Visas) temporary work visa, which will extend their stay in the U.S. for up to 6 years. Thus, there is a possibility for students to obtain a U.S. green card or get U.S. citizenship.
